Firstly, I can't thank you enough for the support and the generosity that you have shown for our children who attended the Arizona State Thespian Festival on November 18 and 19th. Because of your support, we were able to take the largest contingency of students to a festival that enabled our children to exceed not only our expectations but theirs. Because of the efforts and commitment of our children, Willow Canyon High School's theatre troupe has been selected to represent Arizona in the one act play competition at the International Thespian Conference in Lincoln Nebraska next summer. Arizona has one of the largest and most active high school theatre organizations in the country, so to be chosen to represent such a dynamic group is a true honor. In addition, the number of competitors in Individual Events who received a high rating was astounding. It was a proud moment to hear Willow Canyon's name read out over and over and over as the presenters announced the six Excellents, two Superiors, 3 Superior with Distinctions, our play selected to represent Arizona, an appearance in the final showcase and a trophy for the best time for a scene change at the tech challenge. Most schools dream of having a large, active and dedicated group of students involved in activities such as this. Most school administrators would kill to have a group of students who are successful in competitions. We have both. And because of your generosity, you helped in a major way for our children to achieve their goals. For that, I am SO grateful! We heard such comments, as we pulled up in our magnificent coach "WOW - that school has some money" "Wish we could afford a coach like that" and although we were proud to be able to arrive in style, it is only because of your support that we were able to do so, and that we were able to lower the cost for many of our students, whose families are struggling at the moment, and were able to attend. Bearing in mind that our Troupe has NO budget, your support is not for one moment, taken for granted. So again, thank you for playing a MAJOR part in the success of our troupe and the success of our children!
